MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of BrainLife.org is dissemination of information. To reach this purpose we select and offer to patients, caregivers and medical/health professionals, updates in the field of brain tumor research and treatment.


The places of origin are: peer-reviewed journals and medical databases. Some meeting proceedings are included too. The sources (abstracts, references and full-text articles) are presented with their original contents.
Information regarding credentials and publication data are listed in each source.
The new website entries are collected in issues of the
newsletters Current Neuro-Oncology and Neuro-Oncology Reviews.
A free E-mail Alert Service allows all visitors to BrainLife.org to be notified via e-mail when new issues go online.

FORMER WEBSITE


A first collection of sources was initiated in December 1999 and a website named "Glioblastoma Database and Newsletter" (http://members.xoom.alice.it/glioblastoma/) was founded.


BrainLife.org became fully operational on April 17, 2003.
Both the websites
were jointly designed by Elisabetta and Giovanni Camporeale.
